Window tinting - 3M ColorStable or HPC Smoke?
Hi all -
I would like to have the windows on my 2009 black/black A4 tinted and am debating between two places to have it done. One charges $225 and uses HPC Smoke film. One charges $349 and uses 3M ColorStable (CS) film. Both can do up to 35% visibility into car which is my state law minimum. Both offer a standard 100% installation guarantee for life & lifetime warranty against bubbles, cracks, etc. The both block roughly 60% of incoming heat and are both carbon-fiber based films. Both shops are well-reviewed. Does anyone have any experience with one or the other? I don't mind paying the extra for the 3M but I'm just not convinced that there's any difference yet. |
personally i'm not sure of the difference-but if both have a lifetime warranty, save a few bucks and go with HPC.
when i had my last car done i think the brand was SunTek. Anyway it had a lifetime warranty too-and it was perfect. never any bubbling, cracking or imperfections in the 4 years i had it. |
