Default Thinking About an A4

Service will cost you more than that per pop. And intervals are about the same early on, but get less frequent as times goes on.

On the whole Audi's are reliable, but like any car things can go wrong. The 1.8t is a bulletproof motor - but the turbo is what you will have problems with (if you do indeed have any problems).

Brakes will last you longer that 12K miles tho. I need to change mine soon and I have put at least 25K on mine. All depends on driving style and pad brands tho (I am pretty aggressive).

Audi is more expensive to maintain that an Accord. But with consistent maintenance the car should stay healthy. Common problems are coilpacks, MAF's, vac lines and Bypass Valves, wheel bearings...

Of course, some of that stuff is considered maintenance
too...

Stock they came with the car. my last car brakes were the first thing I changed, After some hard driveing i was going through a stop light and a pick up 3/4 ton pickup truck in front of me was cut off he was able to stop but when I stepped on the brakes I got amoast nothing but a pulsating blob under my foot barely stop 2 inches away from the truck (chevy brakes suck)</P>

but ive never really had any probs like that with my audi they performpretty decent even when they very toastyIve been waiting for an excuse to swap out some zimmerman drilled rotors and some mintrex pads at all corners but so far no excuses and hardly any pad wear </P>

like that tide commercial were the kid keeps washing his pants to get the faded look and and they still look new cuz hes using TIDE <IMG src=smileys/smiley17.gif border="0"></P>

heh heh - I'm in the same boat. Want to go to slotted cadmium rotors and Mintex on the front but right now the stocks are performing fine. I do have Mintex Reds on the rear though...<edited><editID>brrman</editID><editDate>37950.5034606481</editDate></edited>
