Incredibly painful brake squeal from frt brakes at 10 mph or less. 2 new rotors, 3 sets of pads, two dealers and a tire store later, no one can figure it out. Recentlly replaced front tie rod ends and CV boots, alignment and tire balance. Any help is gratefuly appreciated. 2.7T, auto-stick 71k miles.

 

swing by your local auto parts store and pick up some brake lube.

pull teh wheel
pop out the pad
swipe a finger (-ish) of lube on the back of each pad
re-install the pad
re-install teh wheel
drive
come back here to tell us if THAT fixed your noise problem

 

Had this done 3x already at the dealer, including cleaning the pad surfaces.

 

Oh, ok, then I'm out of ideas.

you SURE the dealer lubed the backs of teh pads?

Pull one of teh wheels yourself, and see.

There are expensive, mediocre and CHEAP brake pads available on the market. Choose CHEAP and you will have squeal!

 

I agree. The pads are OEM from Audi dealer. Does this mean they're cheap pads?
