I have a 1996 A6 and I'm having a problem with the sunroof motor. I can hear the motor working, but the sprocket won't turn. When I take the plastic guard off the motor, the plastic gears inside will turn and the spocket will turn. As soon as I put the guard back on the sprocket stops turning. It looks as though you have to line up the plastic gears inside just right to allow the spocket to turn when you put the plastic cover back on. After numerous attempts I gave up. I have eBahn reader for my car, but it doesn't help with this issue. Hopefully someone has dealt with this problem before and can enlighten me. Thanks.
