1997 SUSPENSION A6

Help--I've got 167,000 miles on my Quattro A6 '97 wagon. At about 120,000, I started having suspension problems.I've replaced shocks, struts, control arms, tie rods, tires, etc.

My mechanic just replaced the shocks again--using Sachs shocks. We test drove it and agreed that the ride is improved but still harsh. He has offered to switch to Koni's thinking that maybe the original shocks were not gas charged. Any ideas/ thoughts???

Thanks for the help!

You could also try fibi/bilstein, they arehigh end suspension components.
Also, anything new will feel different since the ride was on worn suspension parts.

Why not change the springs?
