1999 Audi A6 2.8 wagon, soft brake!!!
Dear all;
I just got an 1999 audi A6 wagon, 2.8 quattro.
the front pads and rotors are changes.
But, the brake is still too soft,
it takes longer distance to stop.
is it the same thing in other car?
thank you
Bo

bleed means that when the new pads and rotor and such were put on was the fluid changed or in anyway touched. even if it wasent each caliper has a bleed valve on it you hook up a hose to it pump the brakes. this pump out brake fluid. your supposed to pump it into a small containter so when the release the brakes it realeases air and take in brake fluid. im most cases the fact that the brakes were no bled after a brake job leads to spngy or soft or hard pedal feel.
