recently purchased a 2002 a4 1.8t (tiptronic) with 40k miles, still under original warranty. i have 2 quick questions:

1) will the rear seat warmers be covered under warranty? (they are not working)

and

2) what mileage should i expect to get out of my car? I have seen 19/22mpg for the a4. i have been getting around 15.5-16.5mpg, driving rather modestly.

Everything is covered under the warranty so take it back to have fixed.

If you take care of the car it should be good well past 200k miles. I've never heard of an Audi blowing up or dying.

 

You should get around 25 mpg. The dealer should change your spark plugs and air filter at the 40K mi service.
