I came across an Audi a4 on a local website in my State, TN. The owner claims the timing belt was just replaces last year at 125,000 miles. The car appears in great shape, it is clean. No dents, nothing. The only problem with it is the motor. It has one, obviously, but it doesn't work. I can have it rebuilt or I can buy a used one MaxiSYS MS906. He is sellin it for $600. So my question is, is it worth buying and having the engine rebuilt? Is it worth buying a used engine and have it put in? How much can I look at spending?

 

It really depends on what's wrong with the engine. If you can do a lot of work yourself, I'd go for it.
