2000 Audi A4 No compression
 

Hi, I have a [B]2000 audi a4 2.8L[/B], manual that has recently broke down. When i was driving it it basically just ran out of power. When i brought it too the mechanic they said 2 of the cylinders had no compression, and i would need a new motor, which would cost 3 grand. Could there be someting else wrong, or some way Icould fix it, or should I just scrap it for parts? Please help!

I guess the timing belt broke from what you described.Then more than likely there are bent valves in the engine.:eek:
