2000 Audi S4 Rear Brakes
 

I have just replaced my front brakes with Brembo 355 GT kit. I was wondering if I can fit front calipers on the rear is that possible? My other option is to just buy drilled rotors for the rear, any suggestions where to get them. Also can I use bigger rotors with rear stock calipers. Please help thanks.

All very interesting/odd questions.

What do you really want to accomplish? Are you worried about front to rear bias/balance?

Adding larger rotors with the same calipers usually would not work.

I just want my rear brakes to look some what nice, having a huge set up front and just stock in the rear looks odd and not very appeling at all. Thanks for you reply...

Well, I have heard of S8 rear rotors being swapped into the S4 rear. I don't know if they are any bigger than the S4 stock rear rotors though.

Curious though... why did you go with such a huge setup for the front? Are you tracking the car? Auto-x? Show?

Not to rain on your parade, but the stock brake system is probably the strongest sytem within the S4. It is very capable of stopping the car. If you're not planning on serious tracking or otherwise, then the best thing you can do is to add stainless lines and upgrade the pads. An upgraded 332mm 4-piston kit is more than adequate for typical tracking and auto-x. Of course this is all moot, since you already did the mod! I just thought I should mention it.

As far as swapping out the rotors for larger ones, you could get a custom rear rotor made for the existing calipers. There are brake specialty shops that can do this for little investment.
