Hi Everyone,

Sorry if this is a dumb question I'm just not very familiar with imports. I have a friend who's A4 needs the power sterring pump replaced. Is this something I can do or are there special Audi tools that I'd need? Any suggestions or advice would be greatly appreciated.

year and engine would help. on my 12v its a fairly easy job but then again its right on top of everything.

well i just looked at a pic of the 30v and it looks similar to mine, your going to have to remove the IC on top to access the pump fromt he it should be pretty stragiht forward, take off the serpintine belt, it has a tensioner so turn it and itll loosen the belt and then remove teh hoses and bolt holding it on and pull it off, sorry being so vauge but the 12v and 30v pretty different but thats the jist of it, go out and buy a haynes repair manual and get at it, its really not a hard job you just need some mechanical know how.

I would recommend doing this yourself. I did mine and it was a relatively easy job. Be prepared to sneak some allens back in there and leverage on them. No big deal.
