i have a 2002 a6 quattro my drive shaft just busted so i replaced it and after words my automatic trans seems to be stuck in 2 or 3 gear no power off the line only midrange and doesnt shift could this be related to the drivshaft and if not what could cause this

 

I just replaced the front bearing assembly on my 2000 A6 Quattro drive shaft and my manual transmission still shifts just like it did before the repair. The Audi dealer did a poor job diagnosing the defect with the drive shaft.

If the replacement drive shaft is not aligned properly (a common issue) you would likely feel that. If the replacement is causing drag on the transmission perhaps that could lead to a shifting problem. You need some knowledgeable Quattro Audi guys to look over the replacement. You could pull the drive shaft and see if it shifts OK.
