2005 A6 3.2L spark plugs/covers
I have some NGK spark plugs to put in my 3.2L 05 A6. On any other car, the spark plug wire/boot is easy to remove - just pull. On these however, is there a secret to doing it so I don't break anything?
Help would be most appreciated.
My next web stop, getting a Bentley manual. Until then though, I need to swap the plugs as I'm going on a LONG trip next weekend.
HELP a NOOB please!!!?!!!????!?!?!

Turns out, I was making it too complicated.
Loosed the screws holding the wiring harnesses on. Then pop the locks that hold the wiring to the plug cover. Slide the wiring harness off all 3 per side. Once the harnesses are removed, pull straight up on the covers to get to the plug.
I thought there was some type of lock holding them on as they were on there SOLID. But that was all it took. The 2 back plugs (1 per side) required removal of other pieces in the engine bay to have the room to extract the covers, but that was easy enough.
Put in the new NGK's and I immediately felt a better response from the engine. And I didn't pay the 19.00 per plug the dealer wanted.
Now for the EBC brakepads that go on tomorrow.
