Hi everyone. Looking to buy a replacement engine for my 2006 a4 2.0t Quattro auto. Will a standard 2006 a4 Quattro 2.0t engine fit?

 

While it will fit physically, the ECU (Engine Computer) should match the engine code that will be going into it. Since the ECU and TCU (Transmission Control Unit) communicate with each other, there may need to be some programming done. However, the engine and transmission combination currently in the car matches the combination from the donor vehicle, you it should be a relatively straight forward swap. Not cheap though. However, as long as the shop you're having the work done at is familiar with Audi cars and has done this in the past, I'd say you're in good hands..
