2010 Audi a4 2.0l epc light

Default 2010 Audi a4 2.0l epc light

Hello , I have a2010 a4 2.0l turbo car has been good but the other day wife was driving said it started running rough and died . Started back up but still running rough next morning takes it to the store same thing turns it off and car won't start .. scanned codes got crank position code 3 times multiple misfires on all cyl , low fuel pressure, cam position and turbo under boost .. changed the crank sensor... oh yeah the epc light is on constant too . Any how changed the crank sensor still just turns over with out trying to start . Anyone have any ideas ??

It kind of sounds like it's not in time. This may not be good.. First thing I'd do is make sure the timing of the crank and cams is right.

Hey Dave , thanks for your response... if it were a belt motor I would have thought that too ... but it is a chain motor and at 140 thousand I don't see how it could have jumped time .. I read a bunch about this issue and seems like many people have this problem... crank / engine speed sensor is what most were saying so I instantly changed that ... if I take it to the dealer they are probably going to trial and error the darn thing as well ... was just wondering if anyone who has had this problem and had it corrected had some input on what to change next ...

Ahh.. I forgot the later ones are chain drive. Put the old crank sensor back in and see if it runs.

It would not try to start with the old one either... fuel pump is working.. tried hitting it with starting fluid through the air hose while it was cranking.. nothing ... but check engine light is back on with out it even running... I am guessing no spark ... wth ...lol

The Check Engine light will come if the key is turned on and the thing isn't running anyway. Check and make sure you don't have any of the intake duct work leaking. Something could have popped loose with the rough running condition.

i am thinking it might be the cam sensor now ... i am getting fuel but no spark

Figure I will knock out the easy stuff before I wind up at the dealer getting diagnosed...lol
