I've recently purchased this car.

It has full audi dealer service history from new, largest gap between services is 13k miles.
Anyway to get to the point, a few weeks ago the red oil pressure warning popped up for 2 seconds and vanished so I didn't think much of it but checked the oil level, if there were any leaks, strange noises and all seemed okay. It drove fine for 2 weeks then came up again, along with engine management light. Got it to the garage and had them replace the sensor and clean out the pickup pipe and sump. When they cleaned the pickup they found 7 pea sized pieces of orange plastic (with no idea where from, ideas?). Anyway road tested and drove fine, the next day the warning came up again as I got home.
The cars now sitting on my drive and I'm not touching it until I know what to do, garage doesn't have any immediate suggestions hence why I'm asking here!
