2011 Audi Q5 - Does not start
So, I have Audi Q5 2011 model. I received EPC code about few weeks back. I stopped the card turned off the ignition took the FOB out. Wait for few mins, and then restarted the car. All worked fine.
Now I drove home from office after about 30 miles of drive. Parked vehicle in the garage. Next day morning, It would not start. Key FOB won't go easily in. Break pedal will not get pressed. Battery seems to be working fine. Can't change the gear to even bring into neutral for towing.
It has only 65K on it. Dealer is asking to change Ignition Switch and possible column lock control. Estimated about total of $1500 plus.
Has anyone experienced this problem?
Has anyone reached out to Audi to see what they can say about this vehicle?
This is a high end vehicle and I would not expect it to fail at this early age with such costly issues?
You are all Guru out here, please let me know if anyone one with any insight into this type of problem.

I have 2011 q5 premium plus with 2.0l, Have you looked at the key fob hole carefully for something stuck in key fob hole , dirt , grime , etc? I would take a look at it with flashlight and see sometimes you be surprised how something so simple can cause so many problems. This may be a common problem, I am new to audi myself so maybe someone with more experience can chime in!
If you did get it fixed please post the results and how you got it towed.
