Default 91' 200 20v: false oil warning display

1991 200 20v
The warning display shows the "red oil can dripping" icon.
The oil pressure and oil temp gauges show normal readings.
The oil on the dip stick is at the full mark and clean.
The engine sounds no different than before the icon was displayed.

What triggers this warning?
Is it a separate sensor from the oil pressure sending unit?
Once triggered, does it reset on it's own, or does it need to be reset?

Thanks,
Greg
