Default CV Axle Replacement

New here, so please go easy. Took my car in to the shop for a scheduled maintenance. Turns out they said 3 of my 4 boots are busted on my cv axle. After doing some research, I've read stay away from auto store parts, go raxle or OEM.

I've been discussing with the shop about the replacement and they are buying direct from Audi, and they are saying parts are going to run $1500

After talking to raxles, it looks like with the core, they are charging $310 per. The shop is saying what they are getting from Audi is more than just the axle, there is a revision that was done and the parts they received are to get it up to date. I haven't been able to find anything about this online, so I'm just trying to figure out if anyone here knows anything about it.

edit: This is on an 2007 Audi A3 3.2

You can get them for about $75 a piece at Partsgeek(dot)com. $1500 for friggin' drive shafts? Are they titanium or something? No, they're $100 parts in a $700 box....
