Neophyte here (seriously). I have read this issue might be a brake light fuse, or a brake light switch? Going home tonight to see if I can use some of the tips I read up about to at least get the car out of Park so I can drive it to the dealer if need be.

Before I pay $200 to have the car towed to the dealer to have them figure it out, I was hoping to see if one of you could look up the fuse # for the brake lights might be for this. And, while you're at it, where the fuse panel might actually be located. We bought the car used in 2000 and the owner's manual did not come with the car unfortunately.

My wife drives the car 5 miles a day typically, and it still runs, but do not want to put $500+++ in to this car if it can be avoided. Might instead buy a more recent model year instead (used), but obviously that is a lot more money.
