Default 97 A4 QUATTRO POSSIBLE BLOWN TURBO

first i have a3" turboback exhaust, giac chip, turboxs mbc, carbonio intake. i was driving last night getting onto the highway and stepped on it first though second. then shifted normal till 5th gear stepped on the gas just a little to accelerate, watched the boost gauge go to about 20 and then all of a sudden cut down to about 11 or 12. and now the boost wont go past that and the car just feels weird. when parallel parking it feels like it is going to stall and on cold starts doesnt seem to rev up it just seems to have a ruff idle. i think the turbo might have a leak of something because at first i thought i just overboosted and was in limp mode. but then realized the turbo was making like a fluttering noise when revved up sort of like a fan coming to a stop. i heard this before on turbo cars but mine never did that before. Also i have the n75 totally out of the picture and the boost controller controlling boost so i dontthink the computer cancontrol it. i think when im driving i can almost hear boost leaking from somewhere, but i dont really see any hoses or anything wrong. any input would really help thank you

well the kid i bought it off of said the turbo was changed about 50,000 miles ago. the giac stock setting is 19 pounds so i was just replicating that with the boost controller somtimes it goes to 20 or 21 depending how cold it is out. yes stock turbo

If you can hear air escaping, than check all the rubber pressure hoses very carefully. It might be cracked in such a place, that you will not readily see it.

Would a cracked hose still make a fluttering noise from the turbo and a rough idle
