Default 98 A4 Quattro Temp Issue

I just bought a used 1998 Audi A4 Quattro with the 5 speed 6 cyl engine. I noticed on the drive home that everything works....but the digital temp display on the dash is intermittent. It was reading between -40 and -48 F on the way home until the sun came out and it quickly jumped to 38 F, which happened to be the actual temp. Any ideas on where that sensor is at so I can check the wiring, or other places to start my search?

Look through the lower center grille in the bumper. It's on a bracket in front of the bottom of the radiator.

Ok, found it. I came across a few other posts of others having the same issue. I'll just swap it out with a new one to see if that fixes the problem. Thanks for the help!
