I have a 1999 A4 2.8 liter. Got in a very minor bumper to bumper accident and the spare tire wheel well directly hit my timing belt cover and timing jumped. All the valves bent.
I replaced all valves & components, water pump, timing belt tensioner and pulleys and put car back together. It started right up but there is a loud knocking sound now and sounds like it is coming from the passenger side head. It is loud. Can't seem to figure out what it is. Timing is correct.
