my audi will not idle, its ticking over between 1000 to 2000 revs and sometimes sticking at 3000 revs when i slow down, stays for a couple of seconds then dropping, is it my throttle control valve thats causing this and can i fix it myself or is it easy to replace, thanks

 

hmm could be but an oiled/carboned up throttle body and idle control valve would be a concern, check the cable on the accelerator for slack/over tight at the throttle body and also check all vacuum lines are good
