Hi, am new here and driving an '04 A4 1.8 quattro 20,000K's with a 6 speed manual tranny. Occasionally, when upshifting from 2nd to 3rd I feel a bit of a notch, this happens regardless whether engine is cold/hot, high or low revs. Again, this happens at random. The dealer tells me it's normal for this tranny, and find their response somewhat dubious. Has anyone experienced anything like it? Would greatly appreciate any kind of feedback.

sorry but havent had anything like that, but id take it to a tranny shop then if they say the tranny is bad the dealer will have to cover it under warrenty

 

would need to drive the car before makeing an intelligent diagnosis of your tranny. sorry couldnt be of more help
