A4 B8 Drivers door not unlocking with remote
Hey guys,
I've tried searching everywhere for my problem and tried several techniques to sync the key to the car but it doesnt seem to be fixing the cars problem.
The drivers door will only sometimes at random chance unlock in the first or second try from the remote. Sometimes it wont no matter how many times I lock and unlock the car from the remote. From the key it will unlock straight away and from the central locking button inside it will always unlock. I have even used my vagcom diagnostic and nothing comes up for it. What could the cause be?
Thanks

It's probably a door lock linkage issue inside the door. The driver's side door on any car is the one that will have problems first since it is ALWAYS used. The constant jarring of the simple act of closing the door will eventually cause the linkages to get loose or sometimes pop off. You'll probably need to remove the door panel inside and eyeball the linkages for the door lock from the vacuum powered actuator in the door.

Could very well be. Leaking down for some reason. Could be a small crack in the line were is passes from the door jamb to the door assembly. It's inside the rubber boot that spans the gap that also contains the wiring going into the door. Years of bending back and forth with each opening and closing of the door can cause it.
