Hi everyone...

I have to lay up my A4 (B8) for a couple of months while im out of the country. I've done research on proper storage (stabilizer, tires, cover, heated place, battery, etc.)

So I have an 'intellegent' battery charger/maintainer which I intend to connect at 2amps to keep the battery up and cycling. However, I can't find much on where it is best to connect the leads. The battery is in the trunk, however under the hood Audi has the 'jumper points/posts' as well.

I'd like to hook the maintainer to the under-hood posts. Would that be the an acceptable place to charge the battery? Or is it purely for jumping and thus should use the terminals on the battery itself?....

Id really like to disconnect the battery and remove, as I did with my Volkswagens. However I have not researched confirmation that a B8 would have a problem when reconnected (throttle body settings, etc.) I have read that the B7 may certainly have issues, but not much consensus on the B8.
