I bought an '04 A4 Cabriolet about a month ago and got rid of my faithful Mitsubishi Galant that had given me years of relaible service.
Yesterday I noticed that the lever in the boot that enlarges the boot capacity when it is raised no longer does what it is meant to. Is this a common problem?

I took it to an Audi dealer who said the part would cost £100 and the labour would take it up to £300! Then I phoned later to order the part and the parts guy said it actually cost £295!!!! WTF. Part No. 8H0863491D2Z3. Seems pretty stiff to me.

Maybe I should have kept the Mitsi......
