A4 Clutch/Transmission Issues

A4 Clutch/Transmission Issues
Earlier tonight I was stopped at a red light. Clutch in, 1st gear. The clutch released without me removing my foot from the pedal and the car stalled out. I put it into neutral, and now i can't put it into any gear, as it feels as if the clutch is doing nothing. The pedal feels normal though. There is a clicking sound when idoling as well.
Does this sound like a broken clutch?, bad transmission?, something minor?, sell my house cause this gonna get expensive?
Any input appreciated.

RE: A4 Clutch/Transmission Issues
Sounds like the throw out bearing too a dump. Your gonna need a new clutch/ throw out bearing and pilot bearing combo.
Depending on what engine you have the price varies.
1.8T labor from thedealeris 10 hours + the price of the clutch
2.8L labor from the dealer is about 14 hours + clutch
In other words your looking at 2 grand to do the clutch at the dealer, you can save a lot of money buy buying a clutch kit online and having an independent euro shop install it for you.
