A4 manual transmission on an a6

hello you guys.my name is ariel and im new in the forum.

i have a 1998 fwd (unfortunatly) a6 c5 2.8l with tiptronic tranny..

my problem/question comes straight from the fact that in my country there is no a6 with manual transmission..that is the reason i came up with a desperate idea..to take the manual transmission found on the a4 1995 ADP engine..1.6l:o..
now..as far as i know from what i have checked..the gear ratios are almost the same as the a6 manual nodel(1st,2nd are stronger..3rd,4th,5th are the same) but the final drive is much faster..more power, less speed..

now the question is..is it even possible to make this swap?..im asking in terms of housing compatibility, updating or changing the software on the ecu,i believe that in terms of strength the gear will take it because its german gearbox but am i wrong?..

im a kind of person who believe that anything is possible with a bit of modification..

sorry if my english is not so good ..and please understand that its the only chance i have to get a manual a6 here..please take it seriously although its sounds weird..

thank you guys on anything that will help!..
