Wondering if someone can point me in the right direction........

My car is a little slugish at mid RPM's, like when I'm at about 50-55 MPH and I accelerate hard I have to push the pedal pretty far before it downshifts. (is this normal)?

I was thinking of replacing the following three things:

1. - Switch to a K & N air filter
2. - Replace Plugs - What kind does everyone think are the best for a 2.8 A4
3. - Plug wire's - again What kind?

and if I do all this, will I see any gain's

I just got the car about 1 month ago, and as far as I can tell its 100% stock, with the sport package.
