A4 power drop off around 4500 rpm in 4th
First let me say hello to everyone. I'm both new to the forums and Audi ownership. Also, I apologize if any of my questions have been covered elsewhere, I tried to find it before posting I swear.
The car:
I recently bought an '06 A4 2.0T quattro with 6 speed manual trans. It has just a hair over 30k miles.
The problem:
This happened once yesterday after about a 130 mile trip and again twice returning this morning. In 4th gear under heavy acceleration on a flat road, the car experienced a complete loss of power at 4500 rpm. It felt alot like when you hit the fuel cut off if you go over redline. This hasn't happened in any other gears whether higher or lower and after pushing past this point in both 3rd and 5th then 4th acted normal again. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.
On a somewhat related topic, can anyone recommend an Audi mechanic in Jacksonville Fl. We have only one Audi dealer and they are as far away as they can possibly be, and I would prefer to find an honest mechanic who prices are perhaps more reasonable.
Thanks All

So the problem has presented itself again, but slightly different. Gear doesn't seem to be a factor. I seems like the car is intermittently going into limp mode after hard acceleration either merging onto or passing on the interstate. Research on the boards points to a leak in somewhere in the turbo connections. Only weird thing is that I cant reproduce the problem redlining any gear in city driving and no warning lights. Going to autozone to pull codes just in case.
