A7 Brake Pad Indicator Oxidation
 

I have an A7 with 20000 miles on it. I do not race it but do live in Germany and drive on the autobahn occasionally. The brake pad warning illuminated the other day. I took it into the dealer in Germany and they said the only way to check the sensor was to replace the pads. Their recommendation was to replace the brakes and rotors...about a $1100 option. This doesn't sound right to me. Does anyone have a similar experience?
