Default abs module

HI EVERYONE! I'm new to the forum, probably won't be here too much but I came here today to look for info on the (seemingly) infamously problematic ABS modules, as I'm considering buying a good deal used A6 that seems to have this issue. I came across someone else griping about

AUTO & TRUCK ELECTRONICS. HEED THIS WARNING TOO- DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THESE A**HOLES!

A couple of years ago my now ex-wife had this issue with her 2000 S4- Dealer cost for the new ABS module was some gag-inducing amount north of $1000.00 or so, if I'm not mistaken. She (at my suggestion) decided to use AUTO & TRUCK ELECTRONICS for a rebuild, which at that time I believe was around $250.00.

SHE HAD TO HAVE THIS ABS MODULE R&R'D THREE (3) TIMES!!!!!!! Because AUTO & TRUCK ELECTRONICS DID NOT REPAIR IT PROPERLY, AND THEN THEY NEVER GAVE A REFUND, NEVER ANSWERED EMAILS ETC. She ended up bending over to pay dealer cost for a new one. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH AUTO & TRUCK ELECTRONICS UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES!!!!!!!!!!

If there was a way I could actively put them out of business, I would do it, so incredibly CRAPTASTIC was the experience we had with them.

Other'n that, y'all take care and talk to you again!! Cheers!

ok- maybe I'll be back frequently, since I get alerts when someone responds....i'm not too up on forum protocol, don't really participate in these forums too much, maybe I came across as a bit rabid about AUTO & TRUCK ELECTRONICS SUCKING HARD. Guess it was pent up frustration that I never released a couple yrs back, no I have no connection whatsoever with any other business in the automotive world, Audi related or non, I just got so pissed off at how rotten this company was to deal with- the frustration & $$$$$ wasted due to their ineptitude was one thing, then to be left hanging where there was never a refund issued- made my head just about pop off. I'm still pissed, obviously- I just wanted to do my part to warn off anyone who might consider using them to (not) rebuild their ABS module. By the way- I checked out a number of places, and if I do decide to buy this used A6, I'll have to deal with the issue. ModuleMaster looks pretty aboveboard- anyone have any input on them? I like their little "how to" video on switching out the piece as well as all the other details on the site. Thanks in advance- peace
