ABS prob. pumps after brake is lifted.
Hello!
OK so here is a good one!
No codes. ring gears checked on rear axles. 1 Bad. epoxied new ring gear to axle, not a new axle. Other side was fine.
Prior to this it was pumping the ABS at around 10 MPH, for 1-3 sec. then back to normal.
Now after the fix it will pump for 2 seconds after a medium stop, (avg, brake pressure) when I let off of the brake pedal. If i stop very gradually, and use more tranny to slow down, It does not happen.
So ...... I slow down to a red light. let off brake, and VVVRRRRTTTT. ABS pumps for 1.5-2 seconds.
it stops well, pads, rotors are like new. I do not know!
Thanks for any advise.

Im thinking brake light switch, they don't always throw a fault code and they can cause all sorts of ABS problems. If you have access to a VAG COM you can monitor the detents of the switch with data block 2. Or you can have the dealer check it for you, just make sure the tech thats looking at it actually knows how to check it AKA shop forman.
