Anyone know why my Airbag light might stay on? I had it read and they said it was something to do with my side airbag but wasn't sure why it was on? I have 98 A4 1.8T QM.

Which side air bag? Check your connectors under your seats. They will be yellow

 

They didn't say which side airbag. Is there any way also to reset the light after I check the connections?

secure the connections then remove the ground wire only from the battery and leave for a few mins then reconnect it, the air bag light should reset if there are no further faults

if you don't have a card from the dealer with a 4 digit code then you have a problem and it will cost you at the dealers, im sorry to be sceptical but too many people think there is an easy fix and there isn't

 

Well, I do have all my original paper work so I will go and check for it. So I'm assuming I'm going to have to reset my radio once I pull the ground off my battery? So this is my plan, check the yellow connections under my seat. Then while the car is off, pull the ground off my battery for a few mintues, reconnect it. Then wait and see if my Airbag light comes back. Then I guess, reset my radio using this 4 digit code. Am I right in these proceedures or not? I do appreciate your help! At 73,000 my 98 A4 is starting to have multiple electrical problems.
