Hello,

First time poster but frequent reader and I have been helped by reading these threads many times but this time I didn't find on that matched my car's symptoms.

With all the rain we have had in Florida this week I drove through a deep puddle and immediately the car started running rough.

It's a 2004 A4 3.0 Quattro.

I limped home and hooked up my knockoff VAG-COM.

We have >16685 Cylinder 1, Misfire Detected sporadic.

Plus corresponding fault code and identical messages for Cylinders 2 through 6.

The car idles normally and accelerates as it should until about 3500 rpm when it just completely dies off and then jerks forward again, dies off jerks forward and so on.

There is also a: >16501 Engine Coolant Temp. Sensor (G62), Signal too Low
sporadic. which wasn't there a week ago. Probably unrelated?

Thanks for any help. Suggestions where to begin.
