Default Another car won't start thread...

Hi all new here having an issue and was looking for some ideas. The car is a 1999 A4 Quattro Auto with a 30v 2.8. I bought the car was running but, it ran fine up to about 1400 rpm, then between 1400 and 2000 rpm it would not run, above 2000 it ran fine, we had to jump it to start so I figured a tba would do the trick, it did not. I tried to performed a tba after clearing all codes it read ERROR in the top right box and immediately threw a 17953 code. I pulled the throttle body cleaned it and did a back probe check on the tps it all looked good. I reinstalled the throttle body the problem persisted. Now I leaned to the ECM as the issue I ordered one off of e-bay, exact match to the original, I installed it and started the car, same issue; at this point I clear the codes and perform a tba with the new ECM and this time it performs the tba as it should and checks ok in the box now the car cranks but will not even try to start... Any ideas?

As a follow up... After checking fuel pressure, ignition, and compression I wondered if the new ecu had delivered too much fuel for some reason, sure as s4!t, I killed the fuel pump cranked it over a little and it fired right up. Runs like a champ now.
