Audi A2 (2003) can't open the doors!!!
So my wife and I bought a car for a friend who needed really one, it was a 2003 Audi A2. Car worked fine although I think the last owner pointed out the drivers door didn't lock/unlock with the key but obviously did with the fob.The girl we bought it for was in hospital for a couple of months there and car sat un-driven. My suspicion is the battery ran down.So the problem is the car won't open - probably because there is not enough power to run the central locking. The fob works ok and you can hear a soft clicking sound inside the car it you press the button to lock the car. But the unlock won't work. Clearly the manual locking/unlocking on the drivers door doesn't because it never did! This poses the problem how do I trickle charge the car to at least ascertain whether it is the battery? If I was able to get into the bonnet (no idea how to) could I do it from there off a circuit for example?Really any help or advice is appreciated.

It's an A2 of course but I can't change the title.
