Payback for dissing the chrome.. LOL

Sounds like you have a leak in the air intake somewhere. Check and make sure everything between the airfilter box (that holds the MAF) and the throttle body is connected properly. Sucking too much air on the downstream side of the MAF so it can't tell how much fuel to give it.
