I have a 2001 Audi A4 2.8 and I have put it 4 starters in my car and none of them seem to get it to start, I have plenty of battery power and 12V to the starter itself, I bench tested this last starter and it seemed fine but it still wouldn't start, other than being a bad ground somewhere does anyone no of this issue happening and what could be the cause and solution, I've used stock OEM starters refurbished from advanced so I know I'm using the right starter, I've eliminated just about every cause that I know of. Does anyone have any ideas what could be happening?

 

Is it not turning the engine over to start?

 

No the engine won't turn over, I can hear the starter trying to turn over but it's like there's not enough power but I'm getting 12 volts to the starter and 12v at the battery, I've tried a jump pack and jumping it with a car and tried to jump the starter itself but nothing and I know the starter was good when I put it in but when I took it out and bench tested it, it seemed like it was dead, so idk how my car could be killing 4 starters in a row

 

Have you tried to turn the engine over by hand. Use a socket on the crank pulley and see if it will turn. It could be the engine may be locked up somehow.
