Audi A4 B7 2007 electrical problems
Hi Guys, i bought this Audi A4 B7 2007 2.0 Tdi as a non runner. The previous owner told me that he left the passenger window open(right hand drive) and it rained that night. The following morning he saw a lot of water at the foot well. Tried to start the car but nothing. He had a mechanic to check the car and he found that the central convenience module was fried. It short circuited as the water penetrated it.
Long story short i replaced that module and the car still did not start. Question is, can i get another cluster from a donor car? I have heard that you cannot use a cluster from a donor car because it is coded for that specific car. What would be the next steps ? |
Hi guys, i am still struggling with the same problem. I lost hope for a while but decided to give it a go again.
So i went to a scrapyard and bought a lock set which includes the cluster,ecu,ignition+key and door lock from the same model car. So i installed and tested it but i still get the same problem, "powertrain data bus defective ??? So what does this mean? Does it mean that i have a problem with my wiring or maybe with some of the other modules ??? My conclusion is one of the above but i dont know.
