my 2001 allroad fires up just fine then dies. same rhythm each time like an automatic shutoff is happening. Could this be related to the fact that this is the first time I ever dropped it off at new garage and they used a valet key? is there a security thing going on?

I think that is what happens when the immobilizer kicks in but I'm not sure
