Audi or Audi not?
Hi,
I`m having a hard decision to make, I own a 2002 Mercedes Clk 430 its getting old and some major maintenance issues are coming up, but my biggest problem is that since its V8 430 kind of out of control when it comes to fuel consumption.
I have this opportunity to trade my car in for a 2005 Audi A4 1.8 t .Millage approx.:85000 I am thinking of the offer and I would like too do some research since I`ve never owned an Audi before.
I don't know to much about turbo and its problems or issues.
I own my car since 2004 and all the services are up to date on it. I'm just a little bit afraid since I don't really know the "real" history of the car.
I know I can take it to a shop to have it checked out but I would love to here some pros and cons of this car.

The turbo on these cars, assuming "normal" driving use, I have been told is good for around 150k miles.
At 85,000 one would want to either make sure the timing belt and water pump have been done or do them as soon as it gets home (about $250 or so if done at home). Keep an eye on the coil packs but they are also cheap and easy to do.
Otherwise these cars are pretty easy to own. Just keep up on oils and fluids and enjoy the car. Ours gets driven a little over 100 lies per day and at 125k miles it is running like a top and has had little more than basic maintenance.
