Audi Q7, 3,6L fulel consumption issue
Hello,
i have an audi q7 2007 3.6L automatic that i have bought used. the car is great it runs smooth and great space compared to my other car the 3 bmw. still i have a problem and i'd like to hear some of your oppinions. it takes a LOT of gas. i consider myself a good and calm driver, i have over 100.000 km on different cars and usually i stay in the manual specifications. for this car i get a 15L/100 km on the highway and i tested it on i89 between platsburgh and montreal. kept it on cruise at 120km/h and i got 15.3L/100km. mixed i get somewhere 17L/ 100 km and in town around 19. how do these numbers look like?
I have a problem with the temperature sensor and I wonder if this could the the source (the car allays thinks the engine is cold somehow?), on the dashboard it usually shown me at least 10 degrees less than the outside real temperature (how can i fix this?). i put a obd software on the car and the engine sensor for intake temperature is showing the correct temperature. i have no errors on the obd software i have changed the air filter and no difference, i am using 91 octane gas only.
any ideas on where to start checking for this problem?
Thank you,
Vlad
