audi stereo question

Default audi stereo question

i have a 97 a4 quattro, that does not have a cd changer in it. does anyone know if it is still wired for one?. couldnt find anything in the FAQ. thanks for your help

i am 99% sure that they are prewired, the factory sits on the driverside deck in the trunk.......i would not reccommend buying an alpine cd changer and the blitzsafe kit and use your factory head unit, if you want to do it do it right and replace your hu.

Yep, almost all vehicles that offer a CD changer are wired for one. That way, when you go to the dealer to get one it only takes them about 10 minutes to take a couple hundred of your hard earned dollars. Tricky little car dealerships...

try shokan.com for a used oem changer.

i purch a used eom 4 my 96a6 wagon, plug and play.

If you buy a changer from Audi, it is simple to install. Just a few minutes of time. If you have the cash to spend, buy a Phat Box on Ebay and it will fit right where your changer goes. They are pretty sick.
