hi guys! I’m new to this forum so apologies in advance if this has been covered before!
ive got an Audi TT 2008 tfsi. It’s developed a noise on start up, when the key is turned. It sounds like a high pitched rubbery screech. But it’s only when the engine is being turned over. I’ve had the starter motor replaced and the noise is still there! Took it to a second garage for a second opinion and they have said again, it’s definitely the starter motor! It’s being replaced again on Monday incase it’s a faulty motor, but it’s the exact same noise as before so I can’t see it being that! Any help would be greatly appreciated!! Il get a video of the noise up later.. it’s too windy out there at the moment so you wouldn’t be able to hear it properly. Every mechanic has said it’s coming from the passenger side of the engine. Does anyone agree to maybe changing the aux belt? As I’ve read up about that and it could be a culprit!
