Auxiliary heater
 

I have a 2007/08 Audi A8L with an auxiliary heater under the offside front wing, it has an intermittent fault and often does not start at all. Local garage says whole thing has to be replaced, I doubt it, I believe it is a Webasto.

Any ideas what I should check,
