B5 A4 electric plug terminal removal
Sorry, I can't figure out any other way to describe this in the title. I did a bunch of searches but couldn't find anything. I'm trying to put a new horn on my '98 A4. I got the old horns (worn out, barely making any noise) out through the hole in the bumper. I got them unplugged from the weather proof connectors. The new horn has push on terminals but they are farther apart. I want to remove the wires from the factory weather pack plug and push them onto the new horn terminals. Is there some trick to removing them? I know I can cut the wires and crimp on new terminals. But that means driving to the parts store since I can't find any crimp on terminals laying around. And this way I get to take a break and fool around on the computer. There must be some trick to releasing these from the molded plastic plug? Let's see if I can get the pictures I took to post here. https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/or...F=w635-h846-no

I did try to push a very small screwdriver in behind the terminal hoping to trigger a release. No luck.
