I searched if there was a similar topic on here but to no success.

First off car specs.

2001 B5 A4 1.8T, Quattro, 158K miles, 5sp, Stage 1 GIAC chip.

Problems:

I need to replace the air pump, I was told by the company who did my clutch replacement. The reason that I need to replace the air pump is because when I do a cold start the car will start fine but a whining starts and continues for about 2 minutes, I always let it finish its crying before driving at all, then I get to the bottom of my driveway and stop and it whines again for only about 20 seconds. Then it stops until after work 9 hours later when its cold again and I start the waiting game all over again.

So as I was told by the shop that the air pump needs to be replaced and I like to do things myself. I looked for a pump and found I could save a lot doing it myself. I dont know if I have found the right air pump though. I found this pump from this website and assume it is the right one

If someone who is more familiar with this problem could tell me if I am heading in the right direction or know of a better site to order from with the correct part that would be extremely helpful. Also if anyone knows of a instruction guide of how to put it on that would help too. I will look on the thread about how to guides to see if I can find it too
